Have you noticed a lovely yard where the owner takes pride in their landscaping? If so, nominate them for the Hopkinsville Yard of the Month program. The Yard of the Month program is sponsored by the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission each year from April through October.

The goal of the Yard of the Month program is to recognize the efforts of Hopkinsville residents who take pride in their home and landscaping and inspire others to do the same. One award winning yard is chosen each month by the beautification commissioner in each of the 12 city wards. Yards worthy of consideration are well maintained, attractive, and contain a variety of plants or flowers in different textures and colors. All landscaping visible from the street can be considered.

Nominations can be made by calling the mayor’s office at 890-0299 or online. Yards nominated will remain on the eligible list through October.
