Women Educating Women: “Give $10 Ask 10” Campaign

The Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission will celebrate National Women’s History Month in March and the theme for this year’s celebration is:
“Women’s Education – Women’s Empowerment”

The Commission will offer, for the first time, an educational scholarship to a deserving woman in Christian County.  The name of the scholarship is “Women Educating Women”.  We have themed this scholarship funding event the “Give $10 Ask 10” campaign.

We are requesting a donation of $10 (or more) from you to help fund this scholarship.  We are also requesting that you reach out to 10 more women in the community you feel would like to support this effort.

Here are some cards which may help you in explaining the “Give $10 Ask 10” campaign.  You may distribute this letter and the cards to friends, co-workers, church members or neighbors; anyone you think will want to help make an impact on the life of local women seeking to further their education.  Please feel free to scan and email the information to others as well.

We are excited about this opportunity to offer scholarship assistance to local women.  Your $10 (or more) donation joined with others will make such a difference for a woman who is pursuing her dream.  To thank you for your generous, tax-deductible donation, your name will appear in the 2012 Women’s History Month Awards program. All donations received before March 1, 2012 will be included.  Those received after the 1st will be added if possible.

Please mail donations to:
