Pennyroyal Area Museum Announces New Executive Director
The Pennyroyal Area Museum announces the appointment of Alissa
Keller
as its new Executive Director. A native of Hopkinsville, she
holds a Bachelor
of Arts in History and English from Centre College and a Masters of
Science
in Historic Preservation from Clemson University/College of
Charleston,
Charleston, SC. Her Thesis was entitled "Turning Shambles into
Showcases".
She has served as a Docent for the Preservation Society of Charleston
for
Historic Homes & Gardens. She is a recipient of the Ann
Pamela Cunningham
Achievement Award from Clemson University and she was a member of
the
Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society,Centre College.
Ms Keller will assume her office beginning January, 2012. The
Pennyroyal Area Museum
Board of Directors wishes to express its appreciation to Janet
Bravard,
long time Education Curator who has served as Interim Director since
the
resignation of Executive Director Donna K. Stone in September,
2011.
The public is invited to a Christmas Open House at the Pennyroyal Area
Museum
to meet the new director on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 3:30 - 6:30
p.m.
The museum is located at 217 East 9th Street in downtown
Hopkinsville.
