Community Rewards Program Announced
The Christian County Education Coalition sub-committee known as the Community Accountability Committee is proud to announce the second phase of our recognition efforts: a Christian County Schools Staff Appreciation Luncheon to be held at the James E. Bruce Convention Center on Sunday, November 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
This event is to “CONGRATULATE” the following 10 schools for achieving scores of 90 or above on their Accountability Testing or reaching other milestones as designated by their schools:
- Belmont Elementary School
- Heritage Christian Academy
- Sinking Fork Elementary School
- Holiday Elementary School
- Indian Hills Elementary School
- Millbrooke Elementary School
- Pembroke Elementary School
- Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School
- South Christian Elementary School
- University Heights Academy
Invitations will be passed on to the eligible staff members by the current principals and headmasters of these schools.
The purpose of this event is to let all Christian County Schools know the greater Christian County community appreciates the hard work of all staff members involved in the education of our children. The Luncheon will give special recognition to those schools that have met the goal set forth by our community and give those schools which have not a reward to strive for.
The community would also like to announce the third phase of the rewards program established to recognize student achievements. Specifically, all students scoring proficient or distinguished or meeting other criteria as set by their schools are eligible for reward raffles to be held in the spring of 2010. In fact, one lucky member of the class of 2011 will be eligible to win a 2010 Toyota Yaris with a $15,000 MSRP graciously donated by Charlie Ramsey with Toyota of Hopkinsville. The drawing, to be held in the fall of 2010, will be based on scores from the 2009-2010 school year.
Thanks to the continued generosity and outpouring of community support, we’ve raised $24,000 in cash and in-kind contributions. We would like to say ‘Thank You’ to the following businesses in Christian County for their donations and making all this possible to this point:
