cc1

Mayor Dan Kemp recently announced a new way for citizens to meet with local officials and public service providers to ask questions and make suggestions about potential improvements in our community.

Mayor Kemp, members of City Council and representatives of all City departments and several agencies will be on hand to meet with the public one-on-one to listen to their concerns and comments, gather information, and respond to any issues.

Joining Mayor Kemp in these Community Conversations will be representatives from the City’s Police Department, Fire and Ambulance Services, Public Works Department, and Administration Department.  Also represented will be representatives from Christian County Public Schools, Community and Development Services, Atmos Energy, Hopkinsville Electric System, Pennyrile Rural Electric Cooperative, Hopkinsville Solid Waste, Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, NewWave Communications, and Surface and Stormwater Utility.

In an effort to reach all citizens, these Community Conversations will be held at various locations throughout the community.  Additional gatherings will be held as follows:

March 14th         Millbrooke Elementary School
May 9th         Belmont Elementary School
September 12th     Hopkinsville Middle School
November 14th     Indian Hills Elementary School

All Community Conversations will begin at 5:15 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.  Mayor Kemp looks forward to meeting with the public and discussing ideas to enhance our community by delivering the best public service possible.
