The Hopkinsville Police Department is proud to announce the recent graduation of its Sixth Annual Citizen's Police Academy. The sixteen member class officially received their certificates during a graduation ceremony held Thursday evening. During the ten week program the participants received training in all phases of police work to include; patrol tactics, investigations, K-9 work, use of force, firearms, and taser demonstrations just to name a few. We appreciate the dedication each of these class members has shown by making time, in their busy schedules, to attend the academy.
