Vehicle a Nuisance (Loud Music)
Starting Monday April 2nd the Hopkinsville Police Department will be
actively enforcing Vehicle a Nuisance (Loud Music)
violations through out the city. Kentucky state law says every
vehicle, when on a roadway, shall make a minimum of noise in order
to protect the rights of other traffic and to promote public
safety. Extremely loud music, coming from vehicles, is not
only an annoyance to the general public but it is also a safety issue
because the operator of that vehicle is unable to hear the siren of an
approaching ambulance, fire truck, or police car.
