Hopkinsville High School Student Shadows Public Works Department

The Public Works Department was pleased to have Ms Phung Nguyen, a senior at Hopkinsville High School, shadow us on February 5. Ms Nguyen moved to Hopkinsville from her native Vietnam in November 2006. Ms Nguyen will graduate this year and plans to attend Hopkinsville Community College. Ms Nguyen plans to continue her education in an engineering/construction related field at Murray State University. Ms Nguyen shadowed both Bob Cope, Public Works Director and Terry Rudd, Street Division Superintendent. Mr. Cope explained the many facets and fields of engineering and Mr. Rudd gave her a tour of a few projects being worked on by the Public Works Department. We wish Ms Phung Nguyen success as she continues her education.
