Community Conversations

Mayor Dan Kemp recently announced a new way for citizens to meet
with local officials and public service providers to ask questions and
make suggestions about potential improvements in our community.
Mayor Kemp, members of City Council and representatives of all City
departments and several agencies will be on hand to meet with the
public one-on-one to listen to their concerns and comments, gather
information, and respond to any issues.
Joining Mayor Kemp in these Community Conversations will be
representatives from the City’s Police Department, Fire and Ambulance
Services, Public Works Department, and Administration Department.
Also represented will be representatives from Christian County Public
Schools, Community and Development Services, Atmos Energy, Hopkinsville
Electric System, Pennyrile Rural Electric Cooperative, Hopkinsville
Solid Waste, Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, NewWave
Communications, and Surface and Stormwater Utility.
In an effort to reach all citizens, these Community Conversations will
be held at various locations throughout the community. Additional
gatherings will be held as follows:
March 14th Millbrooke
Elementary School
May 9th Belmont Elementary
School
September 12th Hopkinsville Middle School
November 14th Indian Hills Elementary
School
All Community Conversations will begin at 5:15 p.m. and end at
7:00 p.m. Mayor Kemp looks forward to meeting with the
public and discussing ideas to enhance our community by delivering the
best public service possible.
