Crofton Kids Recycle
Did you know……..
- For every ton of paper recycled, at least 30,000 of liters of water is saved.
- Tossing away an aluminum can wastes as much energy as pouring out of half of that can’s volume of gasoline.
- It takes about 100 years for a plastic bottle to decompose into the ground.
- 8 million plastic bottles are thrown away every day.

Adults and children can work together to recycle; for the sake of our community.

Recycling means separating, collecting, processing, and ultimately using a material that would have been thrown away. Basically, the materials are reused, or remanufactured into new products. Some products, such as glass, can be recycled or reused over and over again. This morning's newspaper can be recycled into another morning's news. Many new products are being made from recovered materials.
The 3 R’s are Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Reduce means to stop using so many natural resources such as coal or water. Reuse means to reuse things like milk jugs and anything you can reuse again and again and again. Recycle means to bring in things like aluminum cans, plastic, or paper to your local recycling center.
