The Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan is proud to announce that it has officially launched the 2011-2015 Vision Plan renewal process. In partnership with Market Street Services, the Community Vision Plan will be utilizing a multi-pronged approach to ensure active citizen engagement in this process.
 
Market Street Services will be working with our community from February through April to help create the next five year strategic plan.  Active involvement is the key to ensuring broad-based ownership and success of our next Vision Plan.

Several focus groups of elected officials, stakeholders, and community leaders will be convening over the next several days to begin the process of reviewing the initial Community Vision Plan and to set the course for our next five year strategic plan.

In addition, all citizens are asked to complete the following survey to ensure that all perspectives, ideas, and opinions are considered as we look to the coming five years.   Please take just a few moments to complete the survey and ensure that your voice is heard during this renewal process.

Deadline for survey completion is February 22, 2010.

Citizens are also asked to submit a name for the next Community Vision Plan.  In the "Name that Plan" contest, residents are encouraged to come up with a 5-7 word name for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan.

Submissions must be registered by February 28, 2010, and can be submitted to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce by contacting Sarah Chester at schester@hopkinsvillechamber.com, or by calling 270-885-9096.

A celebration will be held on May 4, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., where the new Vision Plan will be unveiled and the winner of the "Name that Plan" competition will be announced.

To date, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan has celebrated many accomplishments as we have made progress on a variety of efforts.  We believe it's critically important to continue this work, and to recommit to a common vision for a better tomorrow for all residents in Christian County and the region.
