Public Safety Study Circles Mini Grants Available
Guidelines and Overview
Please complete the application to apply for the “bringing the neighborhood together” grant from the Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan and the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission, with support from Everyday Democracy.
Intent of the Grant: The purpose of the mini-grant is to provide resources for neighborhood based organizations/ non-profits (eg. Boys and Girls Club, Aaron McNeill Center, Neighborhood Networks) to host a neighborhood event that brings the residents of the neighborhood together with law enforcement officials to celebrate a commitment to safe streets and strong families.
Eligible to Apply: Any neighborhood based non-profit is eligible to apply for this one time mini-grant opportunity. Applicants must agree to utilize specified resources to host a neighborhood based event that brings residents together with law enforcement officials.
Amount Available: There is $3500 of grant money available. Applicants may apply for up to $500.
Dates and Deadline: Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2009. Applicants will be notified by December 15th if they’ve been chosen to receive a mini-grant. All funded activities must occur by June 30, 2010.

Please note: All grant recipients will be expected to submit a detailed budget on how they plan to spend the mini-grant. All grant recipients will be required to submit a report on the grant activity by June 30, 2009. Finally, all grant recipients will be expected to invite the Study Circles on Public Safety steering committee and project coordinator to the event scheduled.
